I went to an FLS summer program called Discover California. There were about 20 people in my group but there were other groups at the campus too (about 500 kids in all).
Everyone was from different parts of the world (Spain, China, Taiwan, Brazil, France, Venezuela, Columbia, Russia, Japan, Korea, Belgium, Turkey and Thailand). We studied at Citrus College which is located in Glendora, California. The campus is located in a nice and friendly area.
The FLS activity guides were really friendly and helpful. You could talk about anything to them and they’ll always listen. The English classes were kind of easy but the teacher was funny and he made class interesting. The activities that we did were ok. I got to go shopping at great malls and cool beaches.
But by going on a summer program like this, you get to make friends with people from all around the world and learn to speak better English since you get to speak them with native speakers. You’ll get a lot of experience and unforgettable memories too. All in all, i had a good time in America.
